First Chiropractor Visit for Josephina / 2nd for Francis (August 8th)

Josephina's Baptism

On August 5th, the Feast of Our Lady of the Snow, the stain of original sin was washed away from Josephina Maria's soul through the Holy Sacrament of Baptism.  The Holy Sacrament of Baptism was conferred by Fr. Dean at Holy Angels' Brothers Novitiate in Winona, MN.  Josephina's Godmother (Madrinha in Portuguese) was Tia Helena, while Josephina's Godfather was Dan Lester (family friends from St. Philomena Mission).  

Whenever we find out we are expecting, our constant prayers intention is that Christina has a safe / successful pregnancy, childbirth and recovery and that our child may be baptized in the Catholic Church soon after their birth.

Baptism day is always a very special day for our family as another Saint is welcomed in the Church of Christ. 

We cannot thank the Lester Family for making the 3 and 1/2 our trip to Winona, as well as Tia Helena for making the 4 hour plane trip from Sunny California to be there on Josephina's most special day.

As an added enjoyment, Fr. Dean employed the help of Tobias (6 year old) to hold the Baptism ritual book during the ceremony.

Following Josephina's Baptism, Christina and I consecrated her to the Blessed Virgin Mary.  In addition, Christina participated in the Churching of Women Blessing conferred by Fr. Dean.
