Baby Brother Becomes Big Brother Soon!

In under a month, we will meet our precious baby.  Is it a boy or a girl?  We never find out, but this time it was very tempting to want to know.  It's too exciting to hear Jordan tell me whether we have a boy or a girl. Names are still up in the air at this point.  Sometimes we think we have them finalized, and then we get confused all over again.  Magdalene has two names picked out:  Jacinta and Francisco.  She loves the story of our Lady of Fatima, and she highly recommends those names.  Magdalene has been waiting for months for this new baby to arrive.   When Daddy is blessing us, she wants her tummy blessed too like Mommy, because she says she has a baby in her belly.  We remind her she doesn't, but it's quite amusing to hear her say that.

Today Jordan found Tobias in Magdalene's room kissing her baby dolls and feeding them with a bottle.  I will have to catch a video of him doing that some day.  What a sweet boy!  The following pictures were taken the past week.  Tobias loves to push around Magdalene's baby stroller, and I was surprised to see him pushing a baby in it.  He normally just puts a car in the stroller and takes off.

Note:  Baby has fallen out of the stroller, and Tobias is still moving, moving, moving!  Note to Mommy:  Tobias is not ALLOWED to push the baby in the stroller for some time.  hehe!
He loves looking out windows and now he finally has his own space.  Jordan and I finished up his room, and he loves sleeping on his big bed.  He sleeps better than his sister most nights now!  We are very grateful for that!  Tobias has also been bonding a lot more with Jordan.   He loves his special time with Daddy before bedtime.

Cheese!  He has been saying more and more words every week.  It's exciting to see the look on his face when he communicates with us.  I can't wait until Magdalene and Tobias have conversations with each other at her level.  It would be fun to watch!
Today at church, Tobias was sporting a European look with his outfit.  We didn't have long white socks like the European style so we put some of Magdalene's white tights on him, and he looked great.  Jordan likes to coordinate their church outfits.

I thought I would update my family on the progress of this pregnancy.  My feet are swollen, but I still wanted to wear wedge sandals.  I love those sandals.

We love you all, and we can't wait for Tia Brenda to visit soon!  Perhaps the next time I post something, you will see pictures of the new baby.

P.S.  I have been two for two on guessing the gender of our babies.  I'm afraid to make a guess and be wrong this time.  But I will risk it and go public with my maternal instinct.  I believe God will bless us with a girl.  Jordan thinks they are twins.  haha!  No, he doesn't believe that anymore, but he always thinks it before the ultrasound.

Girly Time

I'm nearing the end of this pregnancy with only a month left to go.  Today was one of those days that you just simply felt tired all day.  Third trimester tiredness cannot be cured with caffeine!  But the highlight of the day was watching Magdalene's eyes light up when I asked her if she wanted mommy to curl her hair.  I picked up a set of new hot rollers so I could curl both of our hair.  She watched me using them yesterday, but I thought it would take some convincing on her part to allow me to use them on her.
Well, it didn't much convincing at all!  She sat very still on the purple Bumbo seat, and let me style her hair.  It was the "caffeine" I needed to get me going.  Our little girl was letting me style her hair!  I was so excited!!!
She wanted to see what the curlers looked like in her hair so we ran over to the bathroom.  Miraculously, Tobias was distracted playing with something in his bedroom so we had a full mommy and daughter time for at least 15 minutes.

Lovely locks!!!!  We put a little hairspray in it so it would hold up for Daddy when he got home.  She wanted to look like Cinderella.

This was her attempt at smiling for the camera.  She's trying to smile, but I think the flash bothers her.
(Daddy said she made a mommy face in this picture).

It was much easier to get a normal shot of her looking at herself in the mirror.  Look at the excitement in her face!

(Mommy thinks this is a daddy face).

"Yes, Magdalene.  You do look like a pretty princess."

So if tomorrow brings once again a day of tiredness, I will pray for patience and look fondly on today.
Our little girl really is growing up....
