Four Pigs and 50 Chickens

I wish I had pictures for this post, but unfortunately I do not.

I did not have much to do with raising and butchering four pigs and fifty chickens, but I'm the one who is barefoot, pregnant, and tending to three little ones.  So that's my excuse!  I'm a city girl with heart for the country (with also a heart with being only 10 minutes from the nearest coffee shop and craft store).

I am the daughter of a hearty line of Portuguese farmers.  I have it in me!  One day when we get the acreage of our dreams, I will be able to help out a bit more.

Until then, I am trying to improve my homemaking skills.  I am slowly improving.

Would you agree, Helena and Brenda?

New Park and Marshmallow Time!

We absolutely love going to the park.  When we heard that Grandma Jeanie wanted to show us a park in Parkersburg, we definitely said yes!  We had so much fun spending time with our family.

The park was divided in two parts.  We stayed in the toddler area more, but the big kid area was huge and looked like tons of fun.

 Chimes....we love chimes!

Snuggle time with my baby girl!
Kids were tired!  At this point, Magdalene and Tobias were playing Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

Fire time!   We roasted marshmallows for the first time this summer.  Magdalene didn't care for the burnt part.  She called that part of the marshmallow the "leaves".

Sisters.....doesn't this picture look like a picture of me when I was little?

Tobias was so excited that Uncle Josh picked him and brought him inside.
